The acquisition pairs continuous grid intelligence with ATK’s full strike team of utility services, strengthening how the company supports customers in everyday operations and during major storm events alike.
ATK Energy Group, the utility infrastructure holding company behind nine specialized utility services brands, today announced the acquisition of OutagePro, the real-time power outage visibility platform.
The acquisition combines OutagePro’s outage detection and monitoring technology with ATK’s field restoration and powerline services, creating a single organization that can both identify outages as they occur and deploy the crews needed to restore power quickly.
For years, outage visibility and physical field work have operated separately. Data platforms tracked where power outages occurred, while contractors mobilized crews to restore service. Rarely have both capabilities existed within the same organization.
ATK’s acquisition of OutagePro closes that gap by pairing live grid intelligence with the field crews and utility services already operating across ATK’s family of brands.
“Restoring power fast comes down to one thing: knowing where the damage is. Our utility and corporate clients are under constant pressure to keep the grid resilient, and that starts with real-time visibility into when and where a storm is testing their system. With OutagePro, we’re putting that situational awareness directly in the hands of the linemen and contractors who do the work—through a single mobile app that shows when storms hit, which utilities are affected, and where crews are needed most. When crews have that awareness, response times improve and utilities recover faster. Paired with ATK’s full strike team of services, it means one partner can stand behind a utility across the entire storm lifecycle, not just the emergency.”
— Adam Prosser, CEO, ATK Energy Group
Faster Detection. Faster Restoration.
For the utilities, electric cooperatives, and municipalities ATK serves, the acquisition creates a tighter connection between outage awareness and field response.
Outage signals that previously had to move across multiple vendors now flow directly into the same organization responsible for mobilizing restoration crews, providing customers with a faster path from outage detection to service restoration during critical events.
Beyond Storm Response
The value of continuous outage visibility extends beyond emergency situations.
Real-time grid and outage data is equally valuable on clear-weather days, supporting planning, maintenance, and proactive infrastructure work that strengthens grid resilience before disruptions occur.
This intelligence now feeds directly into ATK’s Corporate Solutions / Full Strike Team—the company’s integrated utility services platform spanning:
- Construction
- Restoration
- Logistics
- Engineering
across its nine specialized utility brands.
The result is a single partner capable of supporting utilities before, during, and after any event.
Strengthening the OutagePro Platform
The acquisition also enhances OutagePro’s consumer-facing platform, which provides the public with live visibility into power outages across the United States.
With ATK’s operational resources and infrastructure, OutagePro will be able to expand its outage data coverage while accelerating its product roadmap.
“OutagePro was built to make outage data faster, clearer, and more useful. Bringing it into ATK gives that mission the muscle to scale, and it connects the data to the people who can actually act on it: our crews, our customers, and the utilities they serve—our utility partners.”
— Kris Tietig, Chief Growth & Strategy Officer, ATK Energy Group
Meeting the Growing Demand for Utility Resilience
The timing of the acquisition aligns with the 2026 storm season, as demand for rapid and coordinated outage response continues to grow across the utility sector.
However, the acquisition represents more than seasonal preparedness.
It reflects a broader industry shift toward integrating real-time data with field operations throughout the entire utility lifecycle—not only during emergencies, but also in everyday operations.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
OutagePro will continue operating under its own brand as part of the ATK Energy Group family.
